Help Make Inclusion for All a Reality

Me2 Club helps over 100 children and young people with additional needs or disabilities take part in mainstream leisure activities every year. By matching each child with a dedicated and trained volunteer, we break down barriers to inclusion, reduce social isolation, and help young people grow in confidence and independence and joy.

We are looking for a Activities and Volunteers Coordinator to support a caseload of children, taking time to get to know them and their families and understanding their support needs and interests. You’ll play a crucial role in carefully matching children to volunteer buddies, helping to build strong and nurturing relationships.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring every child can take part in the activities they love. You build trust quickly with children, parents, and carers, and you bring hands‑on experience supporting children with additional needs or disabilities. You know how to boost confidence, nurture independence, and reduce isolation.

Ideally, you’ve worked with SEND individuals and are confident delivering training, presentations, and guidance to a range of audiences.

What You’ll Do

This is a key leadership role at Me2 Club. You will:

  • Recruit, train and provide on-going support to groups of volunteers to meet the needs of the children we support
  • Hold a caseload of children, building strong relationships with them and their families
  • Identify high quality matches between children and volunteers, overseeing the match at their regular mainstream activity
  • Provide ongoing support, advice and guidance to volunteers as well as activity providers
  • Regularly visit children and volunteer matches at weekly mainstream activities
  • Where appropriate, carry out risk or support needs assessment to ensure children and volunteers are safe and supported at their activity
  • Promote and represent Me2 Club across Reading and Wokingham to increase the number of children we support every year
  • Build positive and impactful relationships with local partners and organisations
  • To advocate for the needs of children and families and work in a person-centred way that is empowering to beneficiaries
  • Ensuring services are delivered safely and responding promptly to any safeguarding related concerns in line with Me2 Club’s procedure

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days look the same. You’ll be working with, families, volunteers, and partners — all while helping shape the future of our services.

About You

You bring:

  • Experience supporting children with additional needs (behavioural, emotional, or medical)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • ability to manage own caseload of children and volunteers
  • Confidence in safeguarding and risk assessment
  • The ability to support, motivate and inspire volunteers
  • A creative, resilient, and solution‑focused approach

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to travel across Reading and Wokingham.

Why Join Me2 Club?

  • Be part of a passionate, supportive team making a real difference
  • Lead meaningful work that transforms children’s lives
  • Contribute to a growing, ambitious charity with a strong reputation
  • Help shape the future of inclusive opportunities in the community

Benefits include:
Additional leave, casual dress, company events, pension, employee discounts, flexitime, on‑site parking, sick pay, and the option to work from home.
