About Us
Me2 Club is an inclusion charity for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs.
We believe in equal opportunities for all, though many opportunities for children are not accessible to those with additional needs. Whether it’s with the help of a trained 1:1 volunteer, or with the support of others in the community at our youth groups, Me2 Club is giving these young people the support they need to feel confident and independent. By breaking down these barriers and raising awareness on additional needs we can make sure everyone is included.

What We Offer

1:1 Support
We support children and young people aged 5-19 to take part in mainstream leisure activities by recruiting and training volunteers to ‘buddy’ 1:1 with them (2:1 when required) so they can join in and have fun. With our help they can access a wide range of activities including sports clubs, uniformed groups and drama classes. We do not require a formal diagnosis to offer support.
Youth Groups and Forums
Me2 Club also have a number of groups for young people with additional needs. We run a teen group to enable young people with additional needs to socialise together. Our teens choose, plan and, if they would like to, fundraise for activities to do together.
Me2 Club run SEND youth forums in Reading and Wokingham to enable young people aged 8 – 25 years to have a voice in the local services they use. We also run a youth social action club training and supporting young people to be young Mental Health Champions. Our champions help improve local support for young people with additional needs for their emotional and mental wellbeing.

Our Family Parties provide a safe and inclusive space for children and their families to play and have fun. We run 3 parties a year, all families who receive our support are invited to come.

Our Strategic Aims and Outcomes
Children, young people and their families will actively influence decisions in the charity and co-produce the support that they receive.
We will achieve our strategic aims by championing the right for inclusion for all young people with additional needs and disabilities across Berkshire, through our partnerships with families, volunteers, activity leaders and other voluntary and statutory sector organisations.
We will increase the number of children, young people and families we support through high quality services that make a difference to their lives.
Our support will be accessible through a range of channels including direct service delivery, volunteer assisted and digital. We will do more to build on young people’s life skills, independence and resilience to better tackle the impacts on mental health and well-being caused by exclusion and social isolation. Our support will also help to improve the lives of family members, including parents and siblings.
We will share children, young people and families experiences and influence mainstream leisure providers to become more inclusive and accessible.
We will learn from the experiences of young people and families to influence and shape the way our services are developed and delivered to remain responsive to their needs.
Our History
Founded in 2003 by a dedicated group of parents, Me2 Club emerged from a shared vision: to create opportunities for children with additional needs to participate fully in mainstream leisure activities, just like their peers. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a well-established charity, renowned in the community for its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Over the past 20+ years, we have steadily expanded our reach, becoming a beacon of support and advocacy across Berkshire. In 2019, our 15th anniversary marked a significant milestone as we announced our expansion into Reading Borough. Following in-depth research and planning, we began a phased rollout in the wards of Katesgrove, Redlands, Park, Church, and Whitley. This expansion allows us to support even more families, ensuring that all children—regardless of disability—can build friendships, independence, and confidence.
Today, with over two decades of service, Me2 Club remains committed to creating a society where children with additional needs have equal access to enriching activities that enhance their well-being and foster lifelong growth.
