The Me2 Club team were delighted when we heard the news that we had been shortlisted by Get Berkshire Active as a Youth Engagement Project of the Year for our work in ‘inspiring young people to get more involved in sport, physical activity or healthy living’.
At the ceremony on Friday night, at The Hilton in Reading, 300 guests cheered when we were announced as the winner. Liz, our Fundraising and Development Officer, was presented with a trophy by Mike Diaper, Director at Sport England, who said it was a “huge pleasure to hand the award to Me2 Club and thank you for all you do for youngsters.”
On the night we were kindly hosted by Field Seymour Parkes Solicitors who enjoyed finding out more about our ambitions for the future and were “so proud that Me2 Club’s hard work is getting recognised.”
