Updates and Volunteer Training

This week in the office, we have been organising and running another session of Volunteer Induction Training and preparing everything for the Christmas party. Thank you to Catherine Vickery and Sarah Hilling for their help wrapping the presents for Santa to give to all the children who are coming on Sunday. We are looking forward to seeing lots of our families on Sunday for the party, where we have organised crafts, food, an appearance from Fred in the Shed and Santa!

We would also like to say a big thank you to the members of Easthampstead Rotary ClubRotary Club of Loddon ValeRotary Club of Reading and Maiden ErleghSage; Trustees; Staff and our families who came and helped us run the stall and collect money at ASDA Lower Earley last Friday. We raised an amazing £622, which will be a great help to our work. Thank you to everyone who donated money and took part in the games, we really enjoyed being there and helping to raise awareness for Me2 Club in the local community.

At Volunteer Induction Training this week we trained 6 new volunteers who we will be looking to match with our children and young people in the coming weeks and the New Year. We will be having them all in to the office for their interviews soon!

Today we are supporting ascot racecourse by wearing our Christmas jumpers as they are running a Christmas Jumper Day today to raise money for Me2 Club. Thank you for your support.

Lastly, a quick reminder that we are being supported by the Co-op  Local Community Fund. So please don’t forget when you are shopping at Co-op to become a member and select Me2 Club as your cause!

“My son looks forward for Wednesday to come so he can meet his volunteer and play badminton with him. Every week I see the progress in him. Thank you very much Me2 club for making my son happy.”
