Thanks for a lovely Party!

On Monday, we were pleased to welcome HRH the Countess of Wessex to our Royal Tea Party. The party Celebrated Me2 Clubs 15th Birthday and was attended by 100 guests. These included children, parents, volunteers, activity leaders and supporters including The Mayor and Mayoress of Wokingham Borough and our trustees and patron Hugo Vickers DL.  The Tea party was held at Addington School and their catering team supplied us a wide range of wonderful cakes and refreshments, which our children really enjoyed! The Countess spent time talking to each of the children and their families getting to know them and how Me2 Club supports them. The event went extremely well and we would like to thank everyone who attended and supported us at this special event. To read a bit more click here to read our news story.

Me2 Club is in desperate need of new volunteers to help children with additional needs attend mainstream activity clubs after school. We match volunteers with one child who they get to know and help them to gain confidence and independence at their chosen activity by helping them to join in. We are running our next training on 6th of October 9am-5pm in Wokingham and so anyone looking for experience working with children with additional needs should apply now. For more information and volunteer stories click here.

Local Offer Live is being held at St Crispin’s Leisure Centre, Wokingham on Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm. If you are going along, be sure to pop over and say hello to the Me2 Club Team at their stall!

This week our Facebook page hit 700 likes! Thank you to everyone who had liked our page and has shared our posts. Hopefully, we will be at 800 likes very soon!

“My son looks forward for Wednesday to come so he can meet his volunteer and play badminton with him. Every week I see the progress in him. Thank you very much Me2 club for making my son happy.”
