Support from the Co-op and upcoming events
This week we received exciting news that The Co-op have chosen to support us through their Local Community Fund. You’ll hear lots more about this new venture on our social media in the coming months. To support us through the Co-op you need to be a Co-op member, which you can sign up to through their website for just £1, and select Me2 Club as your cause at the link here.
Preparations are still going on for Wokingham Winter Carnival on Sunday and the Christmas party on December 10th. Please come along and find us at the carnival, stall number Y26 on Peach street, we are running a bottle tombola, games for children and we will have some amazing toys for sale. We are looking forward to seeing lots of our supporters there! Thank you to all those who have offered their help, it is very much appreciated by the whole team.
To all families and volunteers, if you haven’t already, please respond to the Christmas party invitation that Tess has sent out to everyone to let us know you are coming.
We have had lots of our newly trained volunteers into the office this week for their interviews and we hope to be matching them as soon as possible in the coming weeks. We also still have places available on our December training, so please apply if you are interested in volunteering with us.
On social media this week, we have been showing our support for #iwill week. The campaign focuses on promoting youth social action by getting people aged 10-20 years old into volunteering, campaigning and fundraising to benefit local communities. They have sponsored one of our recent training sessions, where we trained 16 volunteers who are already making a difference to our children and young people. Please visit their website for more information on the campaign and how they are promoting youth social action.
Finally, we would like to say a big thank you to the Rotary Club of Crowthorne and Sandhurst for inviting Liz to give a talk about our work this week and for their kind donation to our charity. Liz had a great time and would like to thank all the members who made her so welcome and for the interest in our work.
