Spring into action!

With Spring finally here we can now look forward to lighter evenings, warmer weather and new beginnings with the start the new financial year. Jess and Vicky have been out to see lots of young people starting at their activities with new volunteers. We have also been busying preparing for our upcoming Day Away and the Easter party. Tess has had a busy week of meetings including Growth Club at Involve, Wokingham Borough Council’s Preferred Provider List Forum and Pilotlight.

A big ‘thank you’ to Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erleghfor their kind donation of eggs for our children.

Tickets are now available for the Me2 Club charity quiz night! The quiz will be held on Friday 14th June 2019 in Woodley. The popular evening includes a fun and light-hearted quiz, a fish and chip supper and a cash bar. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Liz.

Joss Smallman, stopped by to deliver a £2,000 cheque from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation to the Me2 Club. ‘Thank you’ for the donation, it will make a big difference to the young people we help. If you work for a company who is looking to support a local charity or to increase their CSR then contact Liz. Remember, charitable sponsorship shows current and future clients that you really care about your business and your community.

Next week is the Rotary of Easthampstead charity golf day in support of Me2 Club. Good luck to everyone who is taking part and hopefully the weather stays dry for you!

We hope our young people and volunteers enjoy the Easter break and we look forward to seeing you all back at activities after the holidays.

“My son looks forward for Wednesday to come so he can meet his volunteer and play badminton with him. Every week I see the progress in him. Thank you very much Me2 club for making my son happy.”
