Teenager Weekend Away Planning Meeting

On Wednesday we held a planning meeting for our Teenager Weekend Away which is taking place next weekend. The aim of this project is to help our teenagers learn valuable life skills, so this meeting is a really important part of ensuring they have their say about what they want to do. Everyone decided they would like to go to an Italian restaurant for dinner and there was a lot of excitement about visiting the fairground. Thank you to The Margaret Dobson Further Education Trust for funding this trip.

This week our Activities and Volunteers Coordinators, Jess and Nikki were at Bracknell and Wokingham College Welcome Fair to promote volunteering opportunities at Me2 Club. It was great to meet the new students and hear their enthusiasm for volunteering. If you, or someone you know, has a couple of hours to spare each week to make a difference in a young person’s life, now is the perfect time to think about volunteering with us. We have new Volunteer Induction Training dates planned, the first will be Saturday 14th October 9am-5pm and the second will be 13th/15th November 5-9pm on both days, then get in contact with us at

Me2 Club have had stories in both the Wokingham Paper and the Woodley and Earley Chronical this week about our Day Away at Cotswold Wildlife Park, so pick up a copy to find out more about our wonderful day out which was kindly funded by The Berkshire Community Foundation!

Nominations are now open for the Just Giving Awards 2017 to recognise charities that make a real difference. If Me2 Club has a made a difference to you or someone you know, then please consider voting and supporting us.

“C now has a small bunch of friends who he talks to about everything. At the start he appeared kind of lonely but over time he has integrated and has people to talk to about things he enjoys!”
