Ready, get set, BAKE!

This week we have launched our Charity Bake Off Week! If your company or organisation would like to run a Bake Off to support children in the Wokingham Borough with additional needs then do get in touch! COEO and KJS Solicitors have already signed up to hold their own competition. For instructions, ideas and support to run your own Bake Off for Me2 Club please contact Liz.

With just over a week to go until the Wokingham Mayor’s Gala Ball the final preparations are being put in place for the big event. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported the event and donated amazing prizes. For more information about the event click here.

On 28th April, Patrick Denston, a Swim Development Manager with Places Leisure is running his first ever Marathon in Krakow. This is why he is collecting sponsorship for the children we support:“I chose Me2 Club as the charity I wanted to support as I get to witness first hand every week the great work the volunteers do in the swimming pool with children like E. who we would simply not be able to accommodate in mainstream lessons without their time, patience, expertise and all round greatness!” To support Patrick please go to his fundraising page and we wish him lots of luck with the training!

There are still spaces available on Tess’ Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on Friday 8th March in Wokingham. For more information and book your place please contact Tess.

Don’t forget that registration is now open for the Wokingham Walk. There are 4 routes this year: 5, 10, 15 and 20 miles. All the walks start and finish in Howard Palmer Gardens, Wokingham. If you are looking to sign up, and would like to raise sponsorship towards our work, please contact Liz.

Registration for the Wokingham Bikeathon is now open! The event will be taking place on 30th June 2019 and there are 2 routes to choose from, 15 or 35 miles. If you would like to get involved and would like to raise money for Me2 Club then please contact Liz.

“C now has a small bunch of friends who he talks to about everything. At the start he appeared kind of lonely but over time he has integrated and has people to talk to about things he enjoys!”
