New recruits!

This week, we trained 9 new recruits at our Volunteer Induction Training. This can be a difficult time of year for some of our volunteers to sign up and commit to volunteering during their exams, so we would like to say a big thank you to all those who completed the training. We will be working with the new volunteers to match them with our young people as soon as possible. Next week, we are hoping to have them all into the office to complete their interviews. Tess also ran a successful session of Inclusion Training this week for activity leaders so thanks to all who attended that and please check out her other training courses coming up this year. We have all also been busy out visiting new and existing matches at their activities and it has been great to see everyone getting along so well and really getting involved and included.

Tess attended the Parenting Special Children’s Violence and Challenging Behaviour conference on Thursday and she really enjoyed hearing  Yvonne Newbold talk about her experience and the other speakers who shared their knowledge. Jess also attended Volunteer Management training this week at Wokingham Volunteer Centre, she found it really useful and would like to thank Christine and Helena for their excellent training session. Jess also went out to Easthampstead Park Community School talk to the lower sixth form about volunteering with Me2 Club, thanks to all those who signed up.

“Me2 Club provides a fantastic service, essential to our children growing up and giving them the opportunity to access mainstream activities in their community, which makes them “part” of their community.”
