Me2 Club Crew go to town!

On Thursday 4th July, the ‘Me2 Club Crew’ went out for pizza and pasta at ASK in Reading town centre. We met at Winnersh Triangle train station where the teenagers purchased their own tickets and we caught the train into town!

After a lovely walk in the sunshine, we got to the restaurant and chose our meals. Lots of the teenagers opted for Margarita pizza but one of them picked seafood pasta with prawns, mussels and clams! We had a lovely time chatting over dinner and we had a couple of requests from the teenagers to be included in this week’s blog! For one of these teenagers it was his first ever trip with Me2 Club and he really enjoyed coming out and meeting new friends!

It was wonderful to see all the teenagers enjoying themselves with some of our fabulous volunteers who made the trip possible. After we finished our meal, we needed to walk quite quickly back to the train station to make sure we caught our train but we made it in good time. All the teenagers enjoyed the train ride. Even though it was a short journey, one of the teenagers said it was his favourite part of the trip, so we will definitely be looking at incorporating more public transport into the meet-ups in the future. The teenagers had lots of positive feedback for the trip and one of them rated it 1000 out of 10!

“The volunteers who give up their valuable time to accompany our children to the activities are priceless, thank you all.”
