Lou did it!
On 17th August, Lou faced her fears and did a sponsored skydive for Me2 Club. Afterwards she said: “It was just an amazing experience I will never forget. Supporting such a great charity gave me inspiration to face my fears and raise some money to help a child with disabilities and additional needs, in mainstream clubs with 1:1 help, which is vital to them building their independence and social skills – to see a smile on their faces enjoying themselves is just magical.”
So far Lou has raised a fantastic £475 via her Justgiving page. She has set herself a target to reach £500, which will ‘sponsor’ a child at their weekly activity for a whole year. Please help her to reach this target!
Please support these two great friends, Vincent and Tom, in their fundraising efforts for Me2 Club with their London Transport Challenge! Their aim is to travel on loads of different types of transport, on Sunday 8th September, including trains, boats, buses, bikes and even a high speed lift! Find out more here.
On Wednesday 18th September, we are hosting a joint fundraising cheese & wine reception with Berkshire Community Foundation at the prestigious Ascot Racecourse. As well as offering fantastic networking opportunities, Ascot’s resident Wine Merchant will be talking guests through a selection of wines from across the world with a number of cheeses to compliment the fine wine tasting. The evening will round off with a talk from Hugo Vickers DL – Author, Journalist and frequent broadcaster at high profile Royal occasions. There is still time to book your tickets by clicking here.
Wow! We are delighted to report there has been a fantastic response to the Building Futures voting – not least down to you! With five weeks to go, we desperately need your votes to secure a top prize to help us expand our charity and help even more children!
And just a quick reminder – only one vote is accepted per IP address in every 24-hour period, so make sure your votes are being cast while you are out and about and connected to different networks, or disconnect phones from wi-fi to use your data.
