Happy holidays from Me2 Club

This week at Me2 Club we have been preparing for our Day Away!

On Thursday 20th December we took 10 children to Hollywood Bowl in Bracknell and Cineworld to see The Grinch. For some of our young people, this was their first time on a Day Away with us. We started the day with 2 games of bowling, lots of the children got strikes and spares! We then ate our packed lunches before some time in the arcade, each child and volunteer was given £1 each to play the games together, air hockey was a favorite with lots of the children! We then took a short walk to the cinema to see The Grinch. Everyone really enjoyed the film with all of the children sitting captivated for the entire film and enjoying popcorn with their volunteers. We would like to thank Reading Dispensary Trust for funding this Day Away and making it possible for us to take so many of our young people away just before Christmas, and to our volunteers for giving up their time to make the trip so wonderful.

On Wednesday 6th February, the Russell Players will be holding a charity night of their pantomime Snow White and the Magnificent Seven at Swallowfield Parish Hall. All the money raised on the night will go to Me2 Club. Food is included in the £15 p.p. tickets. There will also be a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. For tickets please contact Tess.

From us all at Me2 Club, we would like to wish our families, volunteers, trustees, funders, and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks for reading the last blog of this year and see you in 2019!

The Me2 Club office will be closed from 4.30 pm on Friday 21st December 2018 until 9 am Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

“My experience of volunteering with S is very rewarding and I enjoy my time when I am at Guides with her. Me2 Club has given us opportunities to do different things and have different experiences”.
