Happy Half Term!

We hope everyone is enjoying their half term and everyone has found some time to relax if they are revising. It has been a quieter week at Me2 Club but preparation and planning has been our top priority for the coming weekend! On Sunday, we are taking 14 of our children and young people plus volunteers and staff to the Autism-friendly showing of The Lion King. We hope everyone is looking forward to it and we are delighted to be able to take so many of our young people with us, look out next week for lots of photos!

Also on Sunday, we are running a stall at the Twyford Donkey Derby and Summer Fair taking place at the King George Recreation Ground, Loddon Hall Road in Twyford. Entry is free with gates opening at 1.00pm. Attractions include: tea and beer tents, BBQ, fun fair and donkey rides – so please join in the fun if you are in the area.

Our FUNdraiser in Woodley Town Centre last week, raised a fantastic £739 through the cake and toy sale, raffle tickets and bets on the row-a-thon! The Row-a-thon, kindly organised by EllisKnight Recruitment, was very popular with rowers managing 57km throughout the day, the two prize winners for the closest guess were both excited to be awarded their prizes this week.

Today marks the start of Volunteers Week so we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers who make our service possible. Look out during the week for more posts!

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
