Goodbye to Nikki

As many of you know, it’s Nikki’s last week working at Me2 Club as she is leaving to go travelling, we are all very sad to see her go. She has been a great asset to the Me2 Club team since starting in 2016 and has come on 4 Weekends Away and helped organise all 4 of our Days Away. She has ensured that all our young people and children enjoyed their trips away and helped lots of them attend activities with a volunteer. Nikki has helped to train and recruit many of our current and previous volunteers and has made a real difference to the families and children she has helped to support.

Nikki had this to say on her last day “My favourite part of being an Activities and Volunteers Coordinator has been visiting our young people and volunteers at their activities. It’s been amazing to see how much of an impact the extra support has and how it enables them to join in, make friends and develop confidence. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and am sad to say goodbye to the team and all the wonderful volunteers and families I have worked with, but am looking forward to my next adventure!”

Nikki’s kindness, dedication and patience have made it a pleasure to work alongside her and the whole Me2 Club team will miss her. We wish Nikki all the luck in the world on her travels over the next year and in the future.

Apart from this sad news, we have had a very positive week at Me2 Club! We all enjoyed the very successful Day Away to see the Autism friendly showing of the Lion King, click here to read more. Also on Sunday, Liz, Sarah (Trustee) and Chris (volunteer) had a successful day fundraising and networking at Twyford Donkey Derby on Saturday, thank you to everyone that came over to see them!

Tess and Liz will be out on Saturday at Woodley Carnival, there will be lots of fun activities for all the family including a Classic Car Show, Dog Show and Flower Show. There will also be the Carnival Farm, Smiley Train and performances from local dance and gymnastics groups in the arena and more! We are so pleased to have been chosen as one the beneficiaries of the event so please come along and visit our stall tomorrow from 12pm.

Thank you to all our parents and supporters who have been selling our Summer Raffle tickets, if you would like to buy tickets please come into the Me2 Club office or contact liz@me2club.org.uk.
