Getting ready for the ‘Weekend Away’

This week in the office we have been busy in preparation for our upcoming ‘Weekend Away’. We hope our young people are excited for the trip and are looking forward to a busy weekend. We have lots of fun activities planned including: the obstacle course, crate challenge, Aeroball and the giant swing. We all have our fingers crossed for good weather!

Liz has also been out this week visiting our supporters at Magal to collect a donation. Thanks to everyone at Magal AWT for their ongoing support of our work throughout the Wokingham Borough. To find out more about becoming one of our corporate supporters click here or get in touch with

Yesterday, we were delighted to attend a reception for the voluntary sector hosted by The Mayor of Wokingham Borough Cllr Rob Stanton. In our invitation he said: “I am so pleased to be given the opportunity to thank some of those dedicated people who contribute tirelessly to our community and make Wokingham Borough such an excellent place to live and work.”  The evening was a great opportunity to network and spread the word about our work. Liz enjoyed catching up with Cllr Ullakarin Clark and Sue Jackson from Wokingham Lions, together with many others.

If any activity leaders or support workers are interested in making their work more inclusive, Tess has an upcoming workshop on Thursday 22nd March. To find out more click here or visit eventbrite to purchase tickets.

Our newest newsletter will be available tomorrow, so make sure to check your inbox or read it here.
