Getting ready for our Weekend Away

Following on from last week’s planning meeting, we have been getting ready for our Teenager Weekend Away. Our Teenagers have decided what they would like to do, so we’ve organised adventure golf, pedalos, dinner at an Italian restaurant and a trip to Harbour Park Fairground. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page and website next week for photos of the trip.

This week we have had a number of young people starting back at activities. September is always a busy time of year for us, with a number of our volunteers heading off to University and this week we have rematched 7 of our Me2 Club young people with new volunteers to support them at Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies and gymnastics groups. It has been fantastic to see our new matches getting on so well and we are looking forward to catching up with them over the new few weeks to see how they are getting on.

As a small charity Me2 Club are always looking for support from the local community to help us raise much needed funds. There are a number of different ways that you can support us; are you brave enough to jump out of a plane? Could you run a marathon? could you take on one of the 7 inspirational Ultra Challenges? Or why not become a ‘Fundraising Friend‘ and help out at one of our local community events such as fetes and fairs. Please contact for further information on getting involved.

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
