Getting ready for our Day Away

This week we have been busy getting ready for our pilot Teenager Day Away which is taking place this Saturday. Eight young people will be coming with us on a trip to Bournemouth to visit the Oceanarium, take a ride on the land train and have dinner at Harry Ramsden’s. Keep an eye out on Facebook next week to see all the photos!

We are still working hard to reach more of the families in the Wokingham Borough who need our help and since the start of the summer term we’ve already had four new volunteers start an activity with their matched young person with more to come over the following weeks. We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to support our young people so if you or someone you know has a few hours a week to make a real difference in a young person’s life then please visit our volunteering page to find out more.

We were delighted to hear this week that Day Lewis Pharmacy in Woodley have chosen to support us at their Charity Day which is taking place on Friday 2nd June. There will be a cake sale and raffle in store so please come along and join in. Me2 Club relies on local people to help our work in many different ways. We are looking for “Community Volunteers” who can attend events with us across the Wokingham Borough so if you are able to help out at the Day Lewis Charity Day, at our Woodley Carnival stall on Saturday 10th June or are interested in helping out at other events in the future then email us on
