On Saturday, Liz and Tess had a great time out at Woodley Carnival raising money and awareness for Me2 Club. We were honoured to have been chosen as one of the main beneficiaries of the day and it was great to see so many people from the community supporting the event. We had lots of visitors to our stall including The Wokingham Borough Mayor Cllr John Kaiser who has chosen Me2 Club as his Charity of the Year. A big ‘Thank You’ to Simon, Sue, Aaron, Chris, Dalia, Elfi, Kevin and Andy for their help on the stall, we could not run these events without you.
Today, one of our supporters Jodie is doing a 10,000ft skydive to raise money and on Sunday one of our volunteers Annah will be doing a 15,000ft jump. Good luck to both of them and we would all like to say ‘thank you’ for fundraising for us and having the courage to jump! You can still support Jodie and Annah by visiting their JustGiving pages.
Tess ran a busy inclusion training for 11 activity leaders this week, giving them an ‘Introduction to Autism’. It is great to see so many activity leaders interested in developing their skills to include children and young people with additional needs into their groups. If you, or someone you know, may be interested in our Inclusion Training please click here to find out more.
Plans are well underway for the 15th Birthday Party next weekend and we are looking forward to seeing lots of you there!
