Exciting upcoming events!

We have been busy organising lots of our family and fundraising events behind the scenes and now, we are excited to announce our 15th Birthday Celebration will be held on the morning of the 24th of June, so save the date! We’ve got lots of exciting things planned for the day and more details will be coming out closer to the event. We also have our Easter party coming up very soon on April 11th, so look out in your emails for the invite from Tess. We are excited to have the Easter Bunny joining us again this year and we will have an Easter Egg Hunt, refreshments and themed crafts. All Me2 Club families and volunteers will be welcome. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh for supporting this event.

Me2 Club have been chosen as one of the benefactors of this year’s Woodley Carnival. We would like to say a big thank you for their support and we are happy to have a stall on Saturday 9th of June to spread the word about our work. We are hoping that we will find enough volunteers to help us with entering a float this year and so if you can help out please contact Liz.

The dates for our next Volunteer Induction Training sessions are 19th and 24th of April 5-9pm in Wokingham. If you are interested in becoming one of our amazing volunteers, please download an application form and send it to info@me2club.org.uk.

In addition to all this event planning, Nikki, Tess and Jess have been busy matching and our children and young people with new volunteers. Jess has also been working with some new families off of our waiting list and Tess has been out at epilepsy training. Liz has been very busy in the office this week to get everything ready for our Quiz Night this evening and it is expected to be even bigger than last year. We hope everyone is looking forward to tonight and good luck to all the teams.

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
