Our Festive Family Party!

On Sunday 10th of December, we were excited to run our annual Christmas Party for Me2 Club families and supporters. The children and young people enjoyed the Christmas tree themed crafts, which included making mini foam Christmas trees, decorating baubles, making pop up cards, paper plate Christmas trees and getting messy making edible Christmas tree cones! There was also fantastic face painting done by Ruth Hatch with everyone who wanted to getting a chance to be painted as anything they liked such as Rudolf and penguins but we also had some more unusual requests like worms and transformers! During the party Santa was in his grotto and each of the children and siblings got to visit him and receive a gift. We also had Juggle Puppets as the entertainment this year and the children absolutely loved the magic, jokes and party games and particularly enjoyed their balloons animals! It was great to see so many of our young people enjoying the entertainment and crafts. The party ended with a buffet lunch and a chance for some of the children to play with their presents. We would like to thank everyone who came and made it such a successful event.

A big ‘Thank you’ to our Trustees, volunteers and supporters for their help to run the event and we would like to say a special thank you to The Fence Club, Bracknell Forest Lions and ASDA Lower Earley for the help and donations towards the event!

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
