Me2 Club Crew Online Success

At the end of March, we piloted the first virtual meetup of the Me2 Club Crew to continue supporting our teenagers during COVID- 19. For the first session, staff and Me2 Club Teenagers got together to catch up on on how everyone has been and what everyone had been up to since our last meetup. We had a really positive response from the first session, where we played rounds of bingo via videocall, it was great to see so many happy smiling faces and to give the teenagers an opportunity to see each other.

Everyone involved was keen to take part again, so we are now running the Me2 Club Crew online on a fortnightly basis. On Wednesday 15th April, we ran our 2nd online meet up and this time one of our volunteers got involved to help support the session. We also have more of our teenagers taking part and it was lovely to see even more of them able to meet up virtually and see each other. The suggestion for this week’s activity came from one of our teenagers and we so we ran a pub-style quiz, including a music round. Nikki has sent out an evaluation this week, to all our teenagers who have taken part and we are really excited to get their feedback and input to help us plan future sessions. Thank you to all the teenagers who took part and to their parents for helping facilitate these virtual meetups.

To help us to continue supporting our families now, and when we can restart our face-to-face activities, we have launched a Covid-19 Response Appeal and you can donate here.
