An Egg-citing Easter Party

On the 11th of April we held our second Easter Party for all our Me2 Club families, thanks to everyone that came along and made the party such a success. Everyone got really stuck into all the craft activities we had planned this year. We had sunflower planting, biscuit decorating, nail painting and paper windmills, which lots of children and parents took part in. Thanks to Lori, Lou from Ella’s Kitchen, Emily and Chris for all their help setting up, running the activity tables and refreshments. We also took part in a very special project for the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which is being organised by BBC Radio Berkshire. They donated us 15 bunting flags to decorate which will be used on the day as part of their Berkshire Bunting to adorn the crowd barriers. Lots of our young people took part and decorated a flag with paints, pens and crayons and the results were excellent. After the crafts everyone took part in the egg hunt around the venue and were rewarded by the Easter Bunny who handed out prizes and and Easter eggs to each of the children and their siblings. We hope everyone had fun and didn’t get too messy covered in paint and slime! Check out our photos of the event and of the flags on our Facebook albums.

Thanks to The Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh for donating the eggs and to Ella’s Kitchen and Aldi UK for providing the refreshments.

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
