A visit from our Patron, Hugo Vickers

Yesterday we had a visit from our Patron Hugo Vickers DL to discuss exciting new ways to support us. Here is what he had to say about Me2 Club:

“I first became aware of the work of the Me2 Club when judging for The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2011.  They so deserved to win it and they did.  The one-to-one work of the volunteers means that the children can be integrated into a range of activities which might not otherwise be possible for them, it gives the parents a little respite, and overall serves to create a better understanding of children who cope with difficulties and those who don’t.  Run by a small and dedicated team, Me2 deserves all the help they can get, and I am honoured to be their patron.”

“C now has a small bunch of friends who he talks to about everything. At the start he appeared kind of lonely but over time he has integrated and has people to talk to about things he enjoys!”
