Each year we need to raise £150,000 in order to help all the children and young people who are referred for our unique support. Any donation, however large or small, is greatly appreciated and really does make a difference to the families we support. Here’s how you can donate today.
What does your support mean to local families?
- £439 will allow a child to attend their weekly mainstream activity for a whole year, with their volunteer, whilst we support them both. Therefore, a donation of £4,390 will sponsor 10 children for a year and will give on average 475 hours of valuable respite to their families.
- £124 allows a child to be taken off the waiting list. Therefore, a donation of £1,240 will allow 10 children to begin their chosen leisure activity.
- £45 will allow us to train a volunteer before they are matched to a child needing our support. Therefore, a donation of £1,350 will sponsor 30 volunteers to attend our comprehensive induction training programme with topics including: challenging behaviour, inclusion, Autism and volunteer responsibilities. Our comprehensive induction and development training programme also embeds skills that many volunteers carry forward into careers in medicine, childcare or psychology.
“The main thing is that the child with a disability is included, from that they’re able to have fun and do what they want to do.” (External Organisation)
