ASDA day and Christmas updates

This week in the office we have been very busy with preparations for Volunteer training, which is happening next week and the Christmas party next Sunday. Liz has been hard at work after a very successful fundraiser at the Wokingham Winter Carnival and has been busy planning the fundraising day in ASDA Lower Earley. The team are there today with some helpful volunteers to collect money for Me2 Club. They are running games, bucket collecting and helping to raise awareness for the Charity.

This week on social media, we are proud to be thanking National Lottery players through #ThanksToYou. Their funding has made a difference to communities across the UK but also directly helped Me2 Club through our Big Lottery funding. Coming up on Facebook; look out for our Christmas count-down featuring photos of our young people and volunteers.

This week, we also decided the winners of our Christmas card competition, which will be printed and sent out to some of our supporters. The winners will be announced and prizes given out at the Christmas Party next week! Please RSVP to the party invite if you haven’t done so already.

A big thank you to everyone who helped out at the Wokingham Winter carnival last week and everyone that came to show their support. It was a very successful day and despite the cold, everyone involved had a great time. Overall an amazing £686.66 was raised, which will be used to fund our ongoing work in the Wokingham Borough.

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
