And the winners are…

Today was the draw of our Summer Raffle, which was kindly sponsored by KJS Solicitors. Our families, supporters, staff and trustees have been hard at work selling the tickets for a chance to win some amazing prizes including £150 of John Lewis Vouchers, a 2 night hotel stay for 2 and a garden furniture set. A big ‘thank you’ to our Me2 Club parents, volunteers and supporters from The Holt School who came along to watch the draw. The Wokingham Borough Mayor Cllr John Kaiser drew the winning tickets and gave a lovely speech about the importance of supporting local charities like ours and why he chose us as his charity this year. To see the full list of winners go to our news story.

This week we ran a Volunteer Induction Training for 4 new volunteers, who we are already having into the office for their interviews! We are excited to start working with them, getting them ready to start activities with our young people in the Autumn Term. This training project has been funded by the Youth Social Action Programme, which helps more young people make a positive difference to their community.

If you are thinking of signing up to the Reading Half Marathon 2019 we would welcome your support, please click here for more information. If you enjoy running please consider signing up to Virtual Runner UK and joining the Thunder Run in aid of Me2 Club. You can run any time, location and distance to win a medal whilst supporting our charity.

We will be out at Ascot Racecourse next week for King George’s Weekend bucket collecting at the exits on Friday 27th. If anyone is free that afternoon to help us it would be very much appreciated, please contact Liz.

Finally, Me2 Club are recruiting for a new Activities and Volunteers Coordinator, please check out the job advert and pass it on to anyone you know who may be interested! We hope everyone is looking forward to the end of term next week and the summer break.
