An evening of thanks with the Mayor

On Monday, Liz and Lori, one of our Trustees, attended the Wokingham Borough Mayor’s Reception for the Voluntary Sector. The evening was arranged to thank some of the dedicated people who contribute tirelessly to help their local community. Liz and Lori really enjoyed speaking to so many people and hearing about lots of hard work going on throughout the borough. To find out more about the evening click here.

We also ran Volunteer Induction Training this week and are excited to welcome 9 new volunteers to Me2 Club. We look forward to matching them with our young people soon. Over half term, we hope to see lots of the volunteer in the office for their interviews. Thanks to these new recruits Vicky and Jess have been able to address our waiting list again!

Tess had a great first meeting with Pilotlight on Tuesday, it was an excellent introduction to our charity and start to our partnership. Tess also had a meeting with Microsoft this week to discuss accessibility and inclusion for children and the power of technology. Tess is very happy to be working with these two very influential groups and looking forward to what the future holds.

The Wokingham Walk registration is now open! It will be taking place on Sunday 12th May at Howard Palmer gardens in Wokingham Town Centre. Me2 Club is one of the charities supported by the event so if you would like to walk, and raise funds for Me2 Club, please contact Liz.
