A wonderful Weekend Away

Last weekend, we had a fantastic time with 8 of our young people and their volunteers at PGL Liddington. We took part in lots of activities including Aeroball, archery, vertical challenge and the giant swing! We all had a lot of fun and all our young people and volunteers made new friends over the course of the trip. We would like to say a big thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this trip so successful and to our young people who didn’t allow the wet weather stop them from achieving so much. We’ve had some wonderful feedback from our young people, parents, and volunteers.

Me2 Club young person: “The weekend away was awesome! I really enjoyed trying archery!”

Me2 Club volunteer: “I really enjoyed the giant swing as it was an activity me and my young person could enjoy together.”

Me2 Club parent: “My child gains more confidence and independence with each trip.”

The ‘Weekend Away’ was funded by NHS Fund for Carers awarded through Berkshire Community Foundation. Thank you for making it possible for us to take part in so many fun activities!. If you would like to find out more about our ‘Weekend’s Away’ click here and to see our Facebook album of our young people at the activities.

This week is trustee week and we would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all of our trustees for all their hard work and everything they do for us at Me2 Club!

We are really pleased to announce that Aimee raised an amazing £207.60 at her car boot sale last weekend for Me2 Club. Thank you to both Aimee and her mum Catherine for their hard work.

If your child is 13+ and has additional needs please take part in our short survey, to help us gain evidence of the need to help address social isolation in teenagers/young adults through our potential new project of a ‘monthly meet up/mobile youth club’.

Please remember when Christmas shopping that it is so simple to use Amazon Smile and donate to us at the same time!

“C now has a small bunch of friends who he talks to about everything. At the start he appeared kind of lonely but over time he has integrated and has people to talk to about things he enjoys!”
