A wonderful day by the seaside

Our first Me2 Club teenager “Day Away” on Saturday was a great success! We started the day with a picnic near the beach before heading off to the Oceanarium. As it was a lovely warm day we were then able to enjoy an ice cream by the sea front before boarding the land train for a scenic ride along the beach. The day ended with dinner at Harry Ramsden’s and a sing along on the coach journey home. Photos of the day are now up on our Days Away page.

Me2 Club have been working collaboratively with other local charities to ensure that there are no gaps in the support that families are receiving. As part of this, Nikki our Activities and Volunteers Coordinator went along to the Dingley’s Promise coffee morning in Wokingham to talk about what we do. She had a great time meeting all the parents and we are all looking forward to working with Dingley’s Promise in the future.

We are currently looking for raffle prizes for our summer events and would really appreciate if anyone is able to support us by donating a prize. If you can help then email us at

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
