A successful day at volunteer training

On Saturday Me2 Club had a brilliant turn out for Volunteer Induction Training with 16 people attending. Over the last few months we have been updating our training programme so it was really great to receive positive feedback about the day with 100% of our volunteers saying they now feel ready to be matched with a young person. We are looking forward to getting to know them better at their volunteer interviews over the next week.

On Wednesday 8th November, 6-9pm our Manager Tess is running a Challenging Behaviour Workshop, which is open to anyone working within mainstream activities and looking to develop their skills with challenging behaviour. The workshop will examine the theory behind children’s behaviour and focus on effective methods to pre-empt and de-escalate challenging behaviour. There will be a cost of £10 for any leaders within the Wokingham Borough and £35 for leaders outside. Click here to book your place.

During the Summer Natalie, the Community Life Champion from Lower Earley ASDA came and helped out at our Woodley Pagoda event. This week Lower Earley ASDA generously match funded the amount raised during her time at the event with a donation of £300. We would like to say a big thank you for their support and we are looking forward to seeing Natalie at our Me2 Club Christmas Party on 10th December!

“C now has a small bunch of friends who he talks to about everything. At the start he appeared kind of lonely but over time he has integrated and has people to talk to about things he enjoys!”
