Vital volunteers

Here at Me2 Club, we have been busy with lots of recruitment talks which has led to our training on Saturday being fully booked! Because of this, we have been able to take 10 children off the waiting list and we have started home visits to get everything ready for them to begin at their activities this term. Our next training will be on the 21st and 23rd November 5 pm – 9 pm, in Wokingham.

Tess, Jess and Vicky have been out visiting our new and existing matches at their activities including Scouts, Brownies and swimming. It has been lovely to see everyone getting along so well and to see our young people being included and having fun.

We are looking forward to having a stall at the Wokingham Winter Carnival. It will be held in Wokingham town centre on Sunday, 25 November 2018 from 11:00-18:00. A big “thank you” to Aldi, London Road Reading store, for their donations towards our tombola. We still need more bottles, both alcohol and toiletries, so please give us a call on 01189696369 or email Liz if you can help.

Me2 Club Parents, we are looking for a Parent Trustee – could you help make a difference? Could you spare a few hours a week and help contribute to your local community? If the answer is yes, then please contact Tess for more information.

Tess and Liz will once again be attending the Berkshire Community Foundation Symposium on Monday. They are very much looking forward to hearing an update about the Vital Signs report and the fantastic networking opportunities.

“S enjoys taking part in activities that they did not like to do before, like cooking and taking part in big group games. Instead of always sitting in the corner they are now able to join the group without me even encouraging them to do so.”
