Our Team

Meet our team of dedicated staff and trustees, and our Patron.

At Me2 Club we have a small team of dedicated staff responsible for the day to day activities of the charity, our team of volunteers, children/young people and families.

Tess Eagles

Tess has over 25 years’ experience in project implementation, training and office management including business manager of a local preschool. She has volunteered in the charity sector for many years raising funds for local and national causes. Tess has a special interest in supporting young people with additional needs and helping ‘make a difference’ via the work done by Me2 Club.

Nikki joined the team in 2016 having previously volunteered for Me2 Club a number of years before. Prior to joining the team she spent a year working in fundraising for a health charity. She also previously worked as a Family Support Worker for five years supporting vulnerable children and their families.

Jess Haycock

Prior to starting at Me2 Club she worked for 2 years in education and care of children with severe learning difficulties, autism and challenging behaviour. Before that she worked for a charity within a hospital providing support to vulnerable patients.

Liz McDaniel

Leanne has worked in SEN childcare for 13 years in a variety of different roles including a teaching assistant and therapeutic child care worker. She joined the team in 2014 and enjoys recruiting and training our volunteers. Leanne is currently on maternity leave.

Hugo Vickers

Hugo, born in London, is passionate about writing biographies and has written several covering twentieth century figures including the Queen Mother. Me2 Club are very proud to have Hugo as Patron and it has been a pleasure to have him attend some of our family events.

Being a trustee is challenging and stimulating it allows you to use existing skills and can offer ways to develop new ones. It means making decisions that will impact on people’s lives and making a difference to the local community. Our Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall control, direction and development of the charity. As well as ensuring we comply with all relevant charity laws and regulations, we need to ensure we remain solvent and deliver the outcomes for which Me2 Club was set up. Our trustees come from all walks of life using their personal skills, experience and common sense to ensure that the charity is well run and efficient.

Bernadette has 20 years’ experience in customer services and finance in the IT industry as an Administration Manager.  She decided to become a Trustee after seeing first-hand the invaluable and crucial work that Me2 Club does with those who have little or no opportunity to socialise amongst their peers.

Elfi has worked as a primary school teacher for 25 years. She first became involved at Me2 Club as a volunteer in 2012, supporting a young person with additional needs at a mainstream activity. In 2014 Elfie decided to become a Trustee as she was impressed by the charity and the valuable and unique service it provides in the local community.

Sarah has been a primary school teacher for 19 years and was an Assistant Head Teacher for 4 years. She first became involved with Me2 Club in 2014 as her son was supported by a Me2 Club volunteer. In 2016 she decided to become a trustee to give something back to the Charity that has supported her family.

Simon has over 25 years’ experience in finance from roles in the Manufacturing and Healthcare industries.  He decided to become a Trustee in 2015 after responding to an advertisement in his son’s school newsletter and then connecting with existing trustees to see the amazing work that Me2 Club does and the positive impact it has.

Lori has 30 years experience of working in the IT industry in a variety of roles, latterly working in sales and marketing.  Upon retirement from there she then embarked on a second career within a charity as a freelance Horticultural Therapist.  She initially decided on a volunteering role with Me2 Club, but also felt that her skills in the corporate world would enable her to become a trustee to help support the charity in the future.
