Happy Half Term!

This week, we have been busy preparing for the Volunteer Induction Training on Saturday and we are excited to start working with our new volunteers to help support even more families throughout the Wokingham Borough. We are also looking forward to our ‘Teenager Day Away‘ next week in half term. The teenager’s votes have been counted and they have chosen to go to the Aquarium and out for a meal, which we know they are all excited about.

Jess, Nikki and Tess have also been out meeting lots of our children and young people to talk to them about the plans for the ‘Weekend Away‘ later in February. We hope they are all looking forward to the activities.

Nikki is out and about today at Leighton Park School to try and recruit some new volunteers and we are hoping to be visiting more schools very soon.

Here at Me2 Club, we believe in the value of working with other organisations. So this week Tess went to speak with Sara Attra, Headteacher at Addington School, to talk about how we can work together to support families in the Wokingham Borough.

We would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to the students and families at Queen Anne’s School in Caversham who have raised an amazing £315 at their bake sale, during this week’s plays. We would also like to thank RSSL who are running a Valentine’s Day Cake Sale next week at their offices in aid of Me2 Club, good luck with the baking!

And finally, we would like to thank John Smith, who is organising a Charity Quiz Night in aid of Me2 Club on Friday 27th April in Earley. If any teams are interested please check out the event poster here.

We hope that all our families, volunteers and supporters have a great half term.

“My experience of volunteering with S is very rewarding and I enjoy my time when I am at Guides with her. Me2 Club has given us opportunities to do different things and have different experiences”.
