Rowathon for #UKCharityWeek

On 3rd December local Corporate Champions of the Me2 Club Charity held a ‘Rowathon’ as part of #UKCharityWeek.

Their aim was to row 115km on 2 machines and this target was achieved with enthusiastic rowers from Ellis Knight Bespoke Recruitment, Magal AWT, Sage, KJS Solicitors and many others; cheered on by the Mayor of Wokingham Borough, Cllr John Kaiser.

On the day donations were £120, however with added support from people who were unable to join in the total currently stands at £366. “Harrison Clark Rickerbys are delighted to match the monies raised at the ‘Rowathon’ and add on a Christmas bonus of £100.00 to get the Me2 Club well on their way to raising their target of £1,500.00 for a ‘Day Away’ in the Spring and very much look forward to getting involved in future fund raising events for this wonderful charity.”

The event was a fantastic achievement, especially in such heavy rain, and we are delighted to have a growing swell of local support. If anyone would like to donate to our Countdown to Christmas campaign please go to https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/me2club.

Prizes on the day (kindly donated by KJS Solicitors)

  • Fastest male rower = Martin Rzazewski (from Magal AWT)
