Wokingham Winter Carnival and Christmas Party preparation
It’s been another busy week in the office with lots of meetings to spread the word about Me2 Club to potential funders and local groups. Nikki and Jess have also been busy going on home visits and activity visits with our new volunteers. We also have our next Volunteer Induction training sessions coming up next week, which is fully booked. We’re excited to meet all our new volunteers and start working with them to support more of our children. There are still spaces available on our December training so please fill out an application form if you are interested in volunteering with Me2 Club.
We are still looking for bottle donations in preparation for our bottle tombola at Wokingham Winter carnival. We can take any type of bottle be it alcoholic, soft drinks or toiletries. A big thank you to all the donations we have already had from Prezzo (Woodley), ASDA (Lower Earley), Boots (Wokingham), Tesco (Wokingham), Waitrose (Wokingham) and Freixenet (Crowthorne). Any donation will be very much appreciated, simply drop them into the office or contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. For more details about the event see our event page for updates.
Preparations are in full swing for the Christmas party which will be held on the 10th of December. Invites have gone out to parents and volunteers this week, so please reply as soon as possible to let us know you are coming. We are excited to host Fred in the Shed, Father Christmas and his elves and lots of Christmas crafts.
Voting for the AVIVA community fund is closing on the 21st of November and we still need lots more votes to be in with a chance of funding. Please follow the link to register to vote and share with anyone you think would be interested.
